Please join us for the 2017 Pink Promise Luncheon, an exciting reimagining of our annual Survivor Celebration, at The Commonwealth Club on Thursday, September 28. Relax and enjoy one another at our Sips and Sparkle Reception honoring breast cancer survivors from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Then, sit back and enjoy a delicious luncheon in The Commonwealth Club’s grand ballroom from noon to 1:30 PM.
The luncheon will feature:
- A fun and lively program emceed by Sarah Bloom, NBC12 Anchor.
- An engaging presentation about advancements in treatment, technology, and living with the long-term effects of treatment by Komen Scholar, Ann Partridge, MD, MPH from Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center.
- An insightful, honest story of her 13 years of survivorship from author and breast cancer survivor, Debbie Horwitz, who was diagnosed with the disease at age 32.
- Raffle and door prizes you won't want to miss, including a beautiful set of 18K rose gold Ippolita earrings, a Kate Spade handbag, and a necklace from Kendra Scott.
- Our incredibly touching closing ceremony honoring breast cancer survivors.
Tickets are $30 for breast cancer survivors and $45 for all other guests. Tables of 10 may be purchased for $400. Parking at The Commonwealth Club is available at no cost to all attendees.

As National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) approaches, we wanted to let you, our amazing supporters, know about various ways you can raise funds to support the fight against breast cancer... Do It Yourself Fundraising!
The first step to creating your fundraiser is coming up with an idea, but no worries, we have made it easy for you! Our DIY fundraising page is set up to help you choose from categories that fit your fundraising style:
- Workplace fundraiser (have a jeans day or a change drive)
- Athletic fundraiser (have a neighborhood walk or a PINK football/volleyball game at school)
- In Honor fundraiser (have a fundraiser in celebration or in memory of a loved one who battled or is battling cancer)
- Birthday fundraiser (instead of asking for gifts, let your family know you are doing a birthday fundraiser and ask them to donate instead)

Priority Pinktober: the month of October During October, Priority Automotive will be making a donation to Komen Central Virginia for every car sold. A donation of $5,000 will be made for 100 cars sold. $10,000 for 200 cars sold. $15,000 for 300 cars sold. $20,000 for 400 cars sold. And $25,000 for 500 cards sold!

Home Team Grill NFL Jersey Raffle: the month of October Home Team Grill will raffle off an NFL jersey every Sunday in October to benefit Komen Central Virginia. Tickets may be purchased any time during the week. |

Goochland Firefighters Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser: the month of October The Goochland Professional Firefighters will be wearing special breast cancer awareness t-shirts while on duty through October. All proceeds from the sale of the pink t-shirts will benefit Komen Central Virginia.

Lemaire Monday Night Out for Charity: each Monday in October In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lemaire Restaurant at the Jefferson Hotel is proud to partner with Susan G. Komen Central Virginia to provide guests with a fun and delicious way to support this great cause in its quest to end breast cancer. Each Monday night in October, five percent (5%) of your food purchase from Lemaire's dinner, bar or dessert menu will be donated to Komen Central Virginia.

Kendra Scott Gives Back (Short Pump): Thursday, October 5 Kendra Scott Short Pump will host a Kendra Gives Back event on Thursday, October 5 from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. A portion of each purchase made during the event will be donated to Komen Central Virginia.

Manchester Moose Lodge Pink Night Out: Saturday, October 14 The Manchester Moose Lodge invites you to join them for their Pink Night Out to benefit Komen Central Virginia. Appetizers will be served from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Then, enjoy dinner and dance the night away as the band Real Deal plays from 7:30 to 11:00 PM. This event is open to the public.

Virginia Chipotle Benefit Day: Thursday, October 19 Any time from 10:45 AM to 10:00 PM on Thursday, October 19, dine at ANY VIRGINIA Chipotle, and 50% of your purchase will be donated to Susan G. Komen. Thanks to your incredible support last year, over $15,000 was raised to support Komen in Virginia.
Make sure to tell the cashier you're there to support Komen.

3rd Annual Survivor Open House: Saturday, October 21 The Komen Central Virginia Survivorship Committee invites you to join us for our third annual Survivor Open House on Saturday, October 21 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Komen Central Virginia Office (1403 Johnston Willis Drive, Richmond 23235). Come mix and mingle with fellow survivors and learn about our programs to support you.

Firefighters for a Cure : Saturday, October 21 The Shenandoah Valley firefighters invite you to join them for the 2nd Annual Firefighters for a Cure Softball Tournament. One hundred percent of the proceeds and donations will benefit Komen Central Virginia. Help them knock breast cancer out of the park!

Kate Spade Benefit Night : Thursday, October 26 Kate Spade Short Pump will host a Benefit Night to benefit Komen Central Virginia on Thursday, October 26 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Come enjoy sips and snacks, check out their fall collection, and preview their November collection. It's never too early for holiday shopping! A portion of each purchase made

Southern States (King William) Pig Picking : Saturday, October 28 Southern States (King William) invites you to join them for a Pig Picking on Saturday, October 28 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pork and sides will be served for a donation to Komen Central Virginia. Pony rides will also be available for a donation to Komen Central Virginia. Wear pink, and you will receive the military discount since we are all in this battle against breast cancer together.

Dixie Gas & Oil Corporation - Delivering for a Cure: For every gallon of propane dispensed from the specially painted tank trucks, Dixie Gas will donate one cent to Komen Central Virginia. Since 2010, Dixie Gas & Oil has donated more than $38,000 to Komen Central Virginia. |

Melwood Charity Car Donation Center: Donate your used car, van, truck, boat with a trailer, or recreational vehicle to the Central Virginia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. It’s as easy as filling out our online donation form. Vehicles accepted in any condition! To date, Melwood Charity Car Donation Center has donated over $25,000 to Komen Central Virginia.

Wacoal Fit for the Cure®: Each year, Wacoal holds more than 1,000 Fit for the Cure® events across the United States. At these events, Wacoal offers complimentary bra fittings, and for each woman who participates, Wacoal donates $2 to Susan G. Komen®. Wacoal also donates $2 for every Wacoal or b.tempt’d bra or shapewear piece purchased at a Fit for the Cure® event. As part of this Fit for the Cure program, Wacoal has guaranteed a minimum donation of $250,000 to Komen in connection with Fit for the Cure and other events in 2016. Since 1999, Wacoal has donated more than $4.9 million to Komen.
