Join us for Komen Conversations - Intimacy After Cancer
Sex and intimacy can be difficult for most women after a breast cancer diagnosis. Although any serious illness in either partner can disrupt a sexual and intimate relationship, breast cancer can cause unique problems.
After surgery or breast cancer treatments, body image issues may affect how you view intimacy, as well as your sexuality. Some side effects of breast cancer treatment may impact physical intimacy, and anxiety and depression can impact your sexuality also. Chemotherapy and other breast cancer treatments can lead to early menopause and changes in your body that you aren’t used to. Ugh. What gives?!
Join us on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 PM for an unguarded FREE Komen Conversation about “Intimacy After Cancer,” where Bon Secours experts will answer the questions you’ve always wanted to ask about one of the most sensitive topics to discuss.
Volunteer at the Richmond MORE THAN PINK Walk
The Komen Richmond MORE THAN PINK Walk is made possible by our incredible volunteers. These passionate individuals go beyond simply supporting our cause; they get out there and make this important fundraising event a success. Our volunteers truly are MORE THAN PINK.
Join us as a volunteer for our signature event! Show your passion for the breast cancer cause and take action. Prove that you too are MORE THAN PINK. We welcome any and all fun-loving, enthusiastic, hard-working, and reliable individuals who are willing to contribute to the success of this important event.
By volunteering, you’ll help make your local event a success, which in turn will help Komen fund breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment. Not only will you make an impact in the fight against breast cancer, you will also have fun, feel rewarded, and meet some truly incredible people—survivors, family members, allies, and more, all of whom have been impacted by this devastating disease.
Why We Fundraise
