BREAST CANCER STILL KILLS. THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE.

Over the last 36 years, Susan G. Komen® has made incredible progress in the fight against breast cancer. But even as treatment options improve and death rates fall, one disturbing fact remains: Breast cancer is still killing people.

113 die each dayIn fact, breast cancer still kills more than 41,000 people every year in the U.S. That's 41,000 mothers, fathers, daughters, and sisters - gone. It's 113 people every single day.

And the statistics are even worse for African-American and Hispanic women. For example, African-American women die from breast cancer about 40% more than Caucasian women, and breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in Hispanic women.

We believe this is unacceptable. The sheer number of people dying, the racial disparities, the fact that it's 2018, and we still haven't beaten this disease - it's unacceptable.

We know that millions of people agree with us. We're all tired of losing our friends, coworkers and loved ones to this disease. It has to stop!

That's why we're working to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. How? At the national level, by investing in research to better understand metastatic breast cancer and identify its cures. And in communities like ours, helping to support local programs that work to ensure everyone has access to the timely, high-quality care they need.

But we can't do it alone. We need the support of dedicated people like you to keep our mission moving forward.

Will you help us today? Please take action this October - National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
