A familiar face, a new role. Please join us in welcoming Kristin Harris as the new Executive Director of Susan G. Komen Central Virginia. Kristin first joined Komen Central Virginia as our Director of Community Health Programs last year. Prior to Komen, she served as the Assistant Head of Upper School at the Collegiate School in Richmond, having worked in education administration for nearly 10 years. Kristin earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Virginia and is proud to call Central Virginia home.
Kristin’s true passion for the work we do is rooted in personal experience; she has been the daughter of a breast cancer survivor, a caregiver for her mother, and four years ago, became a breast cancer survivor herself. The fourth generation in her family to be diagnosed with this disease, Kristin is deeply committed to our mission to find a cure and change the course for the future. She counts each of you - courageous survivors and compassionate co-survivors - as her inspiration, and she is honored to serve alongside you in our mission to save lives and end breast cancer forever.
