2014 Survivor Celebration banner

Make plans now to join us for our 9th Annual Survivor Celebration on Friday, October 3. Each year, we gather for a special luncheon to celebrate breast cancer survivors who have been diagnosed, fought through treatment, and come out on the other side surviving and thriving! This is a unique opportunity for survivors, their co-survivors, and guests to network, celebrate, pamper themselves, and support each other during an afternoon at Richmond’s landmark Jefferson Hotel.

The theme for this year is “Laughter is the best medicine!” Come hear comedian, breast cancer survivor, and The View “Funniest Housewife in America” finalist, Jody Kerns, share why humor and a positive outlook can make a difference in living life to the fullest, even when facing cancer. When she’s done, your cheeks and sides will hurt!

Tickets are $25 for breast cancer survivors and $35 for all other guests. Tables of 10 may be purchased for $250. This is one of our most popular and inspirational events each year, so don’t wait to get tickets.

A Great Place for the 2014 Ride for the Cure® Virginia... Great Meadow

2014 Ride - Great MeadowWhat looks like a beautiful painting is actually a picture of the early morning mist looking across the polo field to the steeple chase course at Great Meadow, the location of this year's Ride for the Cure® Virginia.

Founded in 1982, Great Meadow is 700 acres of beautiful open space, and home to the Virginia Gold Cup, an annual 4th of July Celebration, Twilight Polo, and many other community events. Please join us on Sunday, September 21 at this beautiful venue for the 6th Annual Ride for the Cure® Virginia.

Over the past five years, Ride for the Cure® Virginia has raised almost $500,000 for Komen Central Virginia to help those affected by breast cancer. The money raised allows us to fund programs that provide free breast health education, breast cancer screenings, and diagnostic procedures to those in need in our community. A portion of the donations fund cutting edge research that will one day find the cures.
