Dear friends and family,
My story on why i do what i do with Susan G Komen Central Virginia.....
*Breast cancer took the life of my dear mother-in-law, Annetta Duff.
*My good friend Lisa was diagnosed 5 years ago and began her treatment for this frightening disease. She's on the road to recovery but will always be on guard. This disease changes your life forever.
*My beloved sister Jody is now in remission after starting her battle over 10 years ago with surgery, chemo and radiation. Even after all this time, we continue to hope and pray that this horrible disease stays away.
*And 2 years ago my sweet sister in law Carol was diagnosed and began her battle.
For these amazing women, and all of us who have a 1 in 8 chance of developing breast cancer in our life time, I'll once again be participating in the race. Please consider making a donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Seventy-five percent of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening, and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.
Together, we are fueling the best science, boldest community, and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And, we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That’s our promise. Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
